Laboratories
LAPEH
The Human Performance Laboratory (LAPEH) has an infrastructure that allows evaluating the physical behavior of soccer players, in training environment, and also in competitions. There are equipment related to the physiologic charge register, as the Polar Team System II which monitors the Heart Rate, besides the registering devices of blood response through micro samples (i-Stat) and GPS Garmin to control covered distance. Other main resources are related with the capacity to perform physical tests, as the one of cardiorespiratory capacity with gas analysis, electronic speed sensors and the strength platform, as well as a whole anthropometrical instrumentation. All data registration process is supported by AVAESPORTE (www.avaesporte.com.br) software. Those instruments also allow that the LAPEH could develop studies related to dehydration and hydration specifically in soccer.
