Soccer Experience – Developing intelligent and smart players for Soccer
Soccer Experience in a national event, and an initiative from the Centre of Research and Studies in Soccer (NUPEF) of the Federal University of Viçosa, coordinated by Prof. Israel Teoldo da Costa, PhD, that has the objective to spread and promote knowledge in Soccer. The origin of this event came from the necessity to display recent content about Soccer that are no just linked to the theoretical scientific context, but also driven to be applied in soccer academies and international and national soccer teams.
For this reason and with the intent to promote significant experiences to the participants and the collaborators by exhibiting the knowledge produced by the biggest research centers worldwide, the Soccer Experience in each of its editions prioritized the presence of international guests, references in their area of expertise. In the first six editions of the event investigators/professors of international mention participated such as: Prof. Andrew Mark William, PhD form the University of Utah – USA; Prof. Júlio Garganta, PhD, Prof. José Guilherme Oliveira, PhD, Prof. Isabel Mesquita, PhD from the University of Porto – Portugal; Prof. Antônio Figueiredo, PhD from the University of Coimbra – Portugal and Prof. Tomás Garcia Calvo, PhD from the university of Extremadura – Spain.
For 2018, the 7th Soccer Experience will broaden its setting and predicts the participation of more national and international guests with a vast experience and recognition. In this edition the main theme of the event will be: Developing intelligent and smart players for Soccer. We believe that the presence of the invited guests for this Soccer Experience edition will allow us an exchange of information and production of knowledge. Additionally, the ideas resulted by this event could benefit professionals that wish to qualify their current practices and aid in the preparation for the national and international market.
