Proposal
The Centre of Research and Studies in Soccer from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa has a Tactical Training and Assessment Consultancy and Advising project, especially in Soccer. This project aims to promote the improvement of the processes underpinning tactical training, both in the context of the development of young talents and of professional teams. The tools employed in this project may cover various aspects, such as the generation of customized information applied to the specific perspectives of coaches, players, referees and chairmen. As a pivotal aspect of this project, we highlight the analysis of tactical behaviour and performance, based on transverse soccer performance parameters, as well as on the cognitive aspects related to creative and intelligent decision-making of soccer players. It is a project of academic and scientific scope but with direct implications on the transformation of practices. This project counts on specialists from international institutions, such as Prof. Dr. Mark Williams, Prof. Dr. Júlio Garganta, and Prof. Dr. José Guilherme. In addition, we count on experienced trainers in the Brazilian context, such as Prof. René Simões, who are also linked to the project.
