The NUPEF’s site was accessed by people from over 40 different countries during the month of March
In its fifth year of operation, the Centre of Research and Studies in Soccer (NUPEF) from the Federal University of Viçosa has consolidated its recognition among the international community. During the month of March 2015, the NUPEF’s site was accessed by people from 43 different countries, covering every continent in the world and 193 cities. The countries that accessed the site most are the United States, China, Japan, the United Kingdom and Germany. The main factor contributing to these results is the development of cutting-edge research in soccer area. Another factor is the availability of the site content in four different languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French. Furthermore, the NUPEF’s coordinator is performing his post-doctoral study in London, in partnership with Prof. Mark Williams, which is contributing for this international exposure. Through this, the Centre expects to give scientific contributions to reach the practical area and everyday life of soccer clubs in order to develop more intelligent and creative players for the game (training and competition).
